Old Gao Establishes an Experimental YouTube Channel Mr Tabby Tales, Proving that Anyone Who Knows How to Use AI Can Create Realistic Short Videos to Achieve Financial Freedom?!
He utilized a series of cat-and-mouse videos produced by generative AI. With just 12 videos uploaded, he attracted 380,000 subscribers, exposing a significant issue: the internet is flooded with fake news and counterfeit videos. As the production of these short clips becomes increasingly sophisticated, how can we discern the truth?
A Japanese media outlet interviewed a startup company that released the latest AI technology to analyze the likelihood of video fabrication. This can be seen as an AI countering AI, preventing generative AI from falling into the hands of wrongdoers and becoming a tool for fraud.
Generative AI Accelerates Short Video Production Processes; Videos Become Difficult to Distinguish as Real or Fake
Generative AI is rapidly developing, transforming previously complex video production into a quick and straightforward process. YouTuber Old Gao, who boasts six million subscribers, recently produced a series of cat-and-mouse short videos using generative AI. He demonstrated that when used appropriately, AI can easily create high-traffic videos that attract viewers, potentially leading to financial freedom in a short time!
However, such short videos spread too easily online, and their polished nature makes it difficult for viewers to distinguish between real and fake. If used for fraudulent activities or spreading rumors, they may be mistaken for genuine content, causing harm.

Japanese Company NABLAS Innovates Technology to Balance AI with AI
In response to the issue of generative AI potentially fostering rampant forgery, Japan’s NABLAS company is developing an advanced AI technology specifically designed to identify and detect fake videos generated by AI. NABLAS’s system analyzes details within videos, checking for unnatural movements and inconsistencies that may arise during the generation process.
The process works by first using AI to decompose the video into a series of images, digitizing each frame for analysis. The system then checks for unnatural movements in the images, particularly minute misalignment points that are often unavoidable flaws in the production process of generative AI.
NABLAS’s director, Miyauchi Suzuki, pointed out that when artificial intelligence generates each scene, misalignments occur, resulting in unnatural nodes. These subtle unnatural features are key to identifying fake videos.
More importantly, the technology also examines the individuals in the videos, especially whether their faces have undergone AI processing. Generative AI often inadvertently leaves traces of manual modifications, which can be detected by specially designed AI systems.
In practical application, NABLAS’s system can conduct detailed inspections. In one instance of an AI-generated video, AI decomposed the images and checked the beginning of the video, revealing that it was edited by generative AI, with a fabrication likelihood of up to 94%.
Suzuki noted that NABLAS plans to officially launch this technology at the end of this month, and the rollout will help enhance public awareness of fake videos, effectively curbing the spread of misinformation.
AI Application is Deeply Embedded in Daily Life; Generative AI is the Focus of Current Technology
Not only do we need to learn how to use AI tools to assist in creation and daily life, but we also require corresponding technologies to ensure the authenticity of information. Suzuki emphasized that the original intention behind developing this technology is to ensure the responsible use of AI. He pointed out that generative AI and false information can appear in various contexts, and society needs to seriously address the pervasive issue of video fabrication. NABLAS aims to apply this technology across more fields to help users identify fake videos and promote the correct use of AI technology.
