Airdrop project sparks speculation
Draft stage details of the airdrop: Airdrop snapshot has been established
Continual controversies surrounding the airdrop project
In recent days, two screenshots circulating on social media have raised speculation about the upcoming airdrop from Starknet. These screenshots display some standards for the airdrop, but due to some missing text and misspelled project names, it appears that these pages are only preliminary drafts.
In response, the Starknet Foundation has stated that the technical team is building and testing various frontend interfaces, but not all of them will be made public.
The Starknet Foundation emphasizes that the screenshots shown are drafts of ongoing development plans. The foundation states that the final official standards and details of the airdrop will be shared publicly when ready. Furthermore, they have confirmed that the deadline for eligibility for the airdrop has been determined and explicitly stated that it will no longer be affected by user behavior.
The Starknet Foundation revealed that the airdrop project is not unexpected. A year ago, in an announcement about the Stark token, the foundation mentioned the possibility of community rewards. The announcement in 2022 details the issuance of a total of 10 billion Stark (STRK) tokens, with 50% reserved by the organization and the remaining portion distributed to core developers, ecosystem contributors, and the community. Starknet is a decentralized Layer 2 network on Ethereum that adopts the ZK Rollup solution. Professional airdrop hunters in the past have spent a considerable amount of costs on transactions for the Stark (STRK) token airdrop, and they may soon reap the rewards.
