French newspaper Le Monde reported that Platypus Finance, an automated market maker (AMM) protocol on Avalanche, was attacked by a flash loan in February this year, resulting in a loss of approximately 8.5 million US dollars. Two hackers were subsequently arrested a few days later. Recently, French authorities have withdrawn criminal charges against them, stating that using a flawed smart contract does not constitute fraud.
