Is the artist creating a deity? Musk exclaims: Caroline looks like she’s melting
Joe Rogan first mentioned the recent developments with SBF, pointing out that an artist had created a painting of SBF in court, making him look like he lost 30 pounds and incredibly handsome, almost like a supermodel.
Initially skeptical, Musk burst into laughter after seeing the picture. Joe Rogan then presented Caroline Ellison’s painting and remarked, “Look what they did to this girl.”
Musk exclaimed:
Caroline looks like she’s melting.
Joe Rogan commented on this:
I think Caroline’s emotions are quite low, and I believe the artist wanted to express the atmosphere between the two in court, where Caroline had to betray her boyfriend and plead guilty for a reduced sentence.
Musk: SBF’s PR team is impressive
Musk mentioned that he didn’t know who was on SBF’s PR team, but they have done an outstanding job. This puzzled Joe Rogan.
Musk explained:
This guy has scammed everyone out of so much money, yet he still gets strong support from the media. I’ve read some articles about him, and they completely misunderstand the definition of a philanthropist; it’s absurd.
Musk’s Bs Detector
Joe Rogan mentioned that SBF had also claimed to want to invest together before Musk acquired Twitter, but Musk’s Bullshit Detector alerted him.
Musk said:
I really didn’t know much about SBF at the time. I was wondering who this person was and what he did. He was in the Bahamas? That’s really suspicious. Financial institutions in some tropical island countries have had terrible records, and he’s in the crypto industry, where scams are prevalent.

Musk commented on SBF: When he wanted to invest in Twitter, my intuition told me he didn’t have $3 billion.

Joe Rogan: NFTs are almost scams, except for Beeple
Joe Rogan emphasized that he didn’t believe all cryptocurrencies were scams; there are distinctions. For example, about 80% of NFT projects are scams, except for digital artist Beeple.
Musk agreed and also praised Beeple’s work.
Beeple thanked both of them on Twitter for their recognition.
Musk: NFTs are like URLs
Musk continued to comment on NFTs:
What I find funny about NFTs is that they don’t even exist on the blockchain itself; they’re just like URLs for JPEG files. Can’t they at least encode the image onto the chain? Because if the company hosting the image goes down, you no longer own the image.
I’ve never been able to understand NFTs.
Musk’s comment was widely retweeted by supporters of the Bitcoin Ordinals protocol, who believe it is bearish on the current mainstream form of NFTs.
Note: Musk did not say, “I’m bullish on Ordinals, not NFTs.”
Tesla Cybertruck makes an appearance
Although the crypto community was interested in Musk’s comments on cryptocurrencies, what may have drawn the most attention during his appearance on the show was Joe Rogan’s demonstration of the strength of the Cybertruck.
Joe Rogan’s arrow broke, but the Cybertruck was virtually unscathed.
Musk replied that the Cybertruck’s doors are bulletproof against almost all supersonic bullets (subsonic bullets).
