Bart Simpson Turns into NFT, Mom Ventures into the Blockchain World to Save Him
In the episode “Wild Barts Can’t Be Token,” Homer, the protagonist of The Simpsons family, accidentally digitizes his son Bart into an NFT, and his wife Marge volunteers to enter the blockchain world to rescue their son.
After making a mistake, Homer returns home and says to Marge:
“Remember how we always wanted Bart to be less fungible? Well, now he’s an NFT.”

Marge later “transforms into an NFT” and is transported into the blockchain world. She finds herself on a train filled with blue-chip projects and is informed that she is not in the blockchain but on a “BlockTrain.”

The Simpsons Mocks NFTs
Marge is trapped in a carriage but doesn’t wait idly. She accidentally kills an NFT by falling on it and is then transported to another carriage.
She realizes that her price has increased, and the NFTs in the new carriage (CryptoKitties) explain to her that this situation is called “burning” in the crypto world.
Once Marge understands the mechanism, she goes on a killing spree, continuously killing NFTs and being transported to carriages with higher average NFT prices, all in search of her son Bart.
Bored Ape Becomes a Foot-Washing Servant
Marge finally finds her son and escapes the BlockTrain back to the real world.
The Bored Ape only appears before Bart leaves. Despite being a blue-chip NFT project, the Bored Ape is portrayed as a low-level servant in the show, either serving food, giving massages, or washing his master’s feet.
