Recently, the Ministry of Health and Welfare has faced pressure from the public regarding the delayed action taken against the closed child and youth exploitation website “Creative Private Room”. Members of the legislature have pointed out that, according to existing laws, the Ministry of Health and Welfare already has sufficient authority to remove or restrict harmful websites. However, the department’s actions seem to be restricted by the implementation rules. Today, Minister Shueh Jui-yuan has promised to take immediate action and has directly issued a statement to the Ministry of Digital Development this afternoon, requesting the closure of the website.
