Biden’s team criticizes collusion between officials and businessmen
James Singer, a spokesperson for Biden’s campaign team, stated on Thursday:
Trump is selling out America in an attempt to retain power and pay for his legal fees, and billionaires like Musk are merely beneficiaries who understand that if they donate to Trump, he will reduce their taxes but also reduce the middle class’s social security and welfare.
Bloomberg also noted that although Musk is the world’s third-richest person, he has never been enthusiastic about political donations. Records from the Federal Election Commission show that Musk’s political donations have been less than $1 million since 2009, and he has made no donations in this election.
In March of this year, Musk attended Trump’s fundraising event, but after the event, he stated that he had no plans to donate to either Trump or Biden.
Musk: I am very sure we didn’t discuss cryptocurrency
In response to Bloomberg’s report on the 30th, Musk replied:
Although I usually support transferring power from the government to the people, and cryptocurrency can achieve that, I am very certain that I have never discussed cryptocurrency with Trump.
Bloomberg subsequently updated Musk’s response in the article.
