According to CoinDesk, the asset regularization program is part of a proposed wide-ranging economic and political reform in Argentina. Cryptocurrencies are among the assets under the proposed regulatory regime, and regardless of their origin or location of ownership, they must be actively reported to the government. Those who report their cryptocurrency holdings before March 31 will enjoy a preferential tax rate of 5%, which will increase to 15% by November 30.
