The Peregrine-1, carrying physical Bitcoin and Dogecoin, was successfully launched by ULA on January 8th. It was originally scheduled to land on the moon on February 23rd, but it has now been reported that the mission cannot be achieved due to propellant leakage. However, SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket, owned by Musk, is preparing for launch on February 3rd. The DOGE-1 lunar mission, funded by Dogecoin, will once again challenge the “To the Moon” mission.

The Peregrine-1 will not be able to land on the moon due to propellant leakage
On February 3rd, Dogecoin will once again challenge “To the Moon”
Astrobotic
In yesterday’s unfortunate news, the Peregrine-1, carrying physical Bitcoin and Dogecoin, will not be able to land on the moon due to propellant leakage. The team is currently working hard to find ways to extend the lifespan of the Peregrine-1 and continue to receive valuable data. The Peregrine-1 has also transmitted the latest space images. Is the light and shadow in the upper right corner the Earth or lens flare?

The current hypothesis about the propulsion anomaly of the Peregrine-1 by Astrobotic is that the valve between the helium pressurant and oxidizer failed to reseal during the initialization process, causing high-pressure helium gas to rush out, exceeding the operating limit of the oxidizer tank and causing it to rupture. The team is currently downloading all available data from the lander to support this assessment and validate the aerospace operations of components and software related to the next lunar lander mission, “Griffin.”
However, for friends who are interested in space missions, don’t worry. On February 3rd, 2024, SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket, owned by Musk, will also launch the DOGE-1 and IM-1/Nova-C Commercial Lunar Payload Services (CLPS) from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, USA.
DOGE-1 Lunar Mission
Fully funded by Dogecoin, it is the first space mission funded by cryptocurrency. Musk confirmed this news as early as 2021. However, the mission has been repeatedly postponed, and the latest launch date is now set for February 3rd.
Let’s let Musk help Dogecoin truly go “To the Moon” next time!
