Since its launch in 2015, Ethereum has continuously increased its average gas limit, reaching approximately 3 million. With the implementation of the London hard fork and the introduction of EIP-1559 in August 2021, Ethereum’s gas limit has significantly improved and is currently around 30 million. Vitalik hopes to adjust it to around 40 million, representing an increase of approximately 33%.
