Huang Tien-mu, Chairman of the Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC), stated on the 30th that Taiwan may not be a pioneer in virtual asset management but is adopting a gradual strategy. Huang mentioned that Taiwan’s progress in areas such as anti-money laundering measures, establishment of regulatory principles, and supporting the establishment of associations for industry players is in line with international standards. He pointed out that although his term will end on May 19th, the exact implementation time of the special law cannot be predicted yet. However, external experts have already been commissioned to study the feasibility of the virtual asset law, and results are expected to be seen in September.
