EigenLayer TVL surpasses Uniswap to become the fifth largest protocol
According to DeFiLlama, EigenLayer, an Ethereum staking project, has surpassed $6 billion in Total Value Locked (TVL) since reopening its staking. In the past 7 days, it has seen a growth of 181%.
Before temporarily removing the 200,000 ETH staking cap for each protocol on February 6th, EigenLayer’s TVL was around $2.5 billion, still lower than the fifth-ranked Uniswap.

stETH flows into EigenLayer
Although new liquidity options such as Mantle Staked Ether (mETH), Staked Frax Ether (sfrxETH), and Liquid Staked Ether (lsETH) have been added, the recent influx of funds into EigenLayer has mainly been in the form of Lido’s stETH, accounting for approximately 80% of the new deposits. Following stETH, WETH and Swell Staked Ether (swETH) are the next significant contributors. The current TVL structure is shown in the following diagram.
