TRON Announces Bitcoin L2 Solution and Roadmap
Sun Yuchen, with the slogan “Let Bitcoin Be Fun Again,” announced that TRON blockchain will soon launch Bitcoin L2, and the integration direction may cover stablecoins, Bitcoin Ordinals, and other areas.
He emphasized that this will allow over $50 billion USDT and $22 billion TVL on the TRON chain to be injected into the Bitcoin network, and the roadmap is divided into three development stages.
Roadmap α
In the future, more TRON assets will be able to cross-chain with the Bitcoin network, including USDT, TRX, BTT, JST, SUN, NFT, WIN, and USDC.
TRON DAO also plans to invest in a user-friendly wallet project that supports BRC-20 tokens.
Roadmap β
TRON plans to collaborate with multiple Bitcoin L2 protocols and gradually announce significant partnerships. These integrations will allow TRON users to participate in the Bitcoin L2 mainstream network’s re-staking activities.
Roadmap γ
Bitcoin L2 will integrate TRON and BTTC (BitTorrent Chain) and introduce Bitcoin-compatible protocols, ensuring the security of both Bitcoin’s POW and UTXO.
