Mixing service FixFloat suspected of being hacked
According to a report from The Block, abnormal outflows of funds have been detected on the mixing service platform FixFloat, with funds flowing into the following two addresses:
Address (0xFa085): 1,728 ETH ($4.85 million)
Address (bcad4e5): 409 bitcoins ($21.17 million)
Security institutions Bitrace and PeckShield have both pointed out that the attacker has transferred the stolen ETH using another mixing service called eXch.
On February 17th, FixFloat responded to users, stating:
FixFloat has encountered some technical issues and has currently switched to maintenance mode. The exact time for restoration is uncertain, but we are doing everything possible to expedite this process.
Previous reports from security team PeckShield have documented 2,023 hacking incidents in which over 600 major hacking attacks occurred last year, resulting in approximately $2.61 billion in losses.
According to REKT Database, there have been 17 security incidents in the past month, with the affected amount totaling $193 million.
