Origin of “Let’s Go Brandon”
The term “BRANDON” actually comes from the phrase “Let’s Go Brandon,” which is a euphemism for “Fuck Joe Biden.” Therefore, Brandon has also become an internet nickname for Biden.
“Let’s Go Brandon” originated from a 2021 televised interview with race car driver Brandon Brown. While being interviewed by NBC, the audience chanted “Fuck Joe Biden.” However, the reporter misheard it as “Let’s Go Brandon,” cheering for Brandon Brown, turning it into a joke and an internet meme. “Let’s Go Brandon” has also become a political slogan for Republicans.
