Colosseum hackathon is only applicable to new projects and not to products that have received venture capital investment. Projects cannot start development until two months prior to the hackathon, and they will be evaluated based solely on the code and operations written during the hackathon period. Entrepreneurs or developers who have received funding but are still in the process of creating a new product can still participate. Existing code can be submitted with prior notice and approval from the Colosseum team. The project team must publicly disclose all relevant information in the form, and if it is verified that the project team has already completed a significant amount of development work in the two months prior to the hackathon, Colosseum reserves the right to disqualify them and revoke any prizes. The use of open-source code does not count as “pre-existing code,” and we encourage the use of the existing Solana protocol for creation.
