Wave0
is a startup funding program launched by Worldcoin, aiming to assist projects dedicated to decentralized identity, governance, and Worldcoin-related applications, providing WLD tokens as funding incentives to help project teams achieve their visions.
Yesterday, Worldcoin announced the results of the first Wave0 selection, involving decentralized governance platforms, privacy data transmission and storage, and a universal protection plan.

Votexx: Cancelable and Changeable Voting Platform
Votexx aims to provide a voting mechanism that better meets the needs of the blockchain ecosystem by bringing privacy and security into design. It allows users to cancel or change their voting actions, ensuring that any user can complete the voting according to their own will. It also utilizes World ID for privacy online voting.
Zanzibar: Privacy Data Storage Protocol
Zanzibar is an encryption mechanism that enhances data storage privacy, ensuring that servers can complete storage operations without knowing what data is being stored. Its goal is to permanently encrypt the data list. Additionally, Zanzibar’s encryption design enables efficient privacy query functions, allowing data users to confirm the existence of certain data in the database (authorized by the server) while maintaining privacy, reducing the probability of cracking encrypted hash rainbow table attacks.
One of the most criticized issues with Worldcoin is the retention of user iris data. The introduction of a more privacy-enhancing encryption storage mechanism can help improve user trust.
NEBRA: Composability Protocol for Integrated Cross-Chain Services
NEBRA is building the first proof aggregation protocol on Ethereum, which integrates various applications through Worldcoin’s universal proof aggregation framework and achieves high composability of different products through zero-knowledge proofs (ZKP). In the future, NEBRA will collaborate with the Worldcoin contribution team to establish a new Layer2 network on top of the existing protocol infrastructure to further reduce the cost of ZKP verification fuel.
Ribbon Protocol: Health Protection Service based on World ID
Ribbon Protocol is developing an innovative model that combines universal basic income and universal health protection based on World ID. By using a health index, behavior and loyalty model based on universal health, Ribbon Protocol creates a real use case for universal basic income for Worldcoin users, ensuring the linkage between user health and socio-economic data. Since its establishment in 2017, Ribbon Protocol has gained support from well-known institutions such as Consensys, Blockchain 4 Humanity, and the South African Ministry of Health.
xx Network: Privacy Transmission
This project will use Worldcoin WalletKit and xx Network’s xxDK to create difficult-to-trace message transmission through mixed proxy server chains, using mixnet technology called cMixx. xx Network aims to anonymize communication data between users and other services at the network level, mitigating the risk of communication data leakage.
Rarimo: Decentralized Cross-Chain Identity Bridge
Rarimo is an identity aggregation platform that allows World ID to be used on any EVM chain. Rarimo enables cross-chain identity state transmission, which is confirmed by network validators using BFT consensus, ensuring secure cross-chain identity similar to encrypted assets. Integrating Rarimo with Worldcoin allows the transfer of identity states (Merkle root) from the Ethereum mainnet to other multi-chain networks.
Wonderland: On-chain Reputation System
The World ID governance mechanism aims to provide an identity verification system that prevents Sybil attacks, so only addresses verified by Orb are eligible to participate in DAO. However, privacy concerns regarding iris data have always been a significant concern in the market. Wonderland integrates reputation into the governance module through the “Reputation ID” mechanism, strengthening anti-Sybil measures and providing identity determination options beyond iris scanning.

Worldcoin | World ID 2.0 Adds Login Verification Function and Strengthens Privacy Security
Reason for Recommendation: Worldcoin 2.0 incorporates a preliminary identity verification mechanism that does not rely on iris scanning. It can complement the reputation system of Wonderland. Reading this article will provide an understanding of why Worldcoin needs verification mechanisms beyond Orb.
TheVoice: Governance Platform
TheVoice is a modular governance platform that provides various voting mechanisms, including majority voting, quadratic voting, and convicting voting, allowing projects and communities to choose the most appropriate voting method according to their needs.
Wallfacer: Bonus Distribution Tool
Although distributing bonuses online is a good way to kick-start new projects, the process is often tedious and susceptible to interference from bots and spam. POPGDP is a service that assists the Worldcoin Foundation in distributing bonuses. The project aims to establish a grant governance forum integrated with World ID, using World ID to make the grant distribution voting and review process transparent, democratic, and resistant to manipulation, while increasing the quality of participation.
Clade Club: Debate-oriented Governance Platform
The biggest issue with Web3 governance is the concentration of wealth. Existing governance mechanisms usually determine voting rights based on the number of tokens users hold, ultimately concentrating power in the hands of a few. Clade Club’s platform creates a dynamic and user-centric environment through live interactive debates, rather than financially oriented debates. Participants can vote in favor or against each other’s contributions, promoting wise decision-making through collective wisdom of the community, rather than relying on the ideas of a few wealthy individuals.
Merkle Tree Explorer: Hash Tree Visualization Browser
The team is building a browser specifically for Merkle trees, visualizing the Merkle trees. The Merkle Tree Explorer can visualize all World ID public keys and their related structures, allowing more users to verify the validity of World ID in an easily understandable way, enhancing transparency, verifiability, and flexibility to promote decentralization.
RewardMe: Tokenization of Consumer Data based on World ID
RewardMe is a mobile application that provides users with an easy way to accumulate rewards based on their consumption habits at different merchants. RewardMe seamlessly integrates with users’ existing emails to automate reward accumulation. By rewarding users with cryptocurrencies, RewardMe tokenizes users’ daily spending data, driving the data tokenization market and paving the way for the AI data market. However, to accomplish this, it requires a robust identity verification system. Many existing fraud detection measures, such as KYC, are necessary but have already impacted user experience. Therefore, RewardMe chooses to use World ID integration services to reduce user verification costs.

Reason for Recommendation: Whether it is decentralized identity (DID), on-chain reputation, or privacy mechanisms, they all fall under the category of proof of personhood. Reading this article will provide a clearer understanding of how World ID ensures on-chain proof of personhood.
IDMaster: Decentralized Orb Production
The IDMaster team offers a solution to make the verification device Orb easier to assemble and manufacture. (Worldcoin opensources the Orb iris scanning device to reduce market privacy concerns). IDMaster’s goal is to make Orb easily manufacturable worldwide in a trustless manner.
