HSBC Bank has recently launched tokenized gold, which can be easily accessed through the bank’s online banking platform and mobile application. This is the first time that HSBC Bank has applied its proprietary distributed ledger technology (DLT) to tokenize retail investment products. Previously, HSBC Bank’s Orion digital asset platform successfully launched digital bonds in Hong Kong and Luxembourg, but this new initiative focuses more on general retail investors.
