According to Forbes’ 2024 global billionaire list, the rise of cryptocurrencies has turned many people into billionaires. Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) has been the richest person in the cryptocurrency industry for three consecutive years, ranking in the top 50 globally. The biggest increase in assets came from MicroStrategy founder Michael Saylor and Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong, who ranked third and second respectively due to the surge in their stock prices. In addition, the four major shareholders of stablecoin issuer Tether, including CEO Paolo Ardoino, have also entered the list for the first time.
