Data shows that the price of the Bitcoin Rune project has risen by more than 20% in the past 24 hours, reaching 0.0741 BTC (about $5,286), with a market value of $590 million, surpassing the floor price of Bored Ape Yacht Club at $413 million (11.8 ETH).
Ordinals developers announce three airdrops
Ordinals developer Leonidas recently announced on Twitter that Runestone holders will receive three types of meme coin airdrops.
Two of the airdrops will be distributed in April and later this year, while the third airdrop will be issued after Runestone becomes the gathering place for top meme coins, one of which is related to dogs.

He also mentioned that DOGE, SHIB, and WIF, among others, will have a hard time competing with meme coins on the Bitcoin chain. He said:
Runestone is unstoppable, and the freedom and fairness of its issuance mechanism is a movement. Everyone is not ready to embrace the future of Bitcoin.

Runestone was initially airdropped in the form of inscriptions in February this year, with the price rising from $1,300 in OTC trading to $5,000 (0.074 BTC).
However, it briefly soared to 0.89 BTC in early March as NodeMonkes and the current price has also fallen to 0.52 BTC.

Different parties in the market have different attitudes towards the birth of the Runes protocol. Binance recently announced its withdrawal from the Bitcoin NFT market and will not support Runestone.
DeFi researcher Ignas believes that Ordinals and Runes are one of the significant new creations in this bull market cycle, and he urges investors to quickly understand the overall ecosystem.
