Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) announced on April 8th that, based on the CHIPS and Science Act, its TSMC Arizona facility in the United States will receive a maximum of $6.6 billion in direct subsidies. The company also announced plans to establish a third semiconductor fabrication plant at TSMC Arizona, in order to meet the strong customer demand using the most advanced semiconductor manufacturing technology in the United States.
