According to legal documents dated April 8th, former CEO of FTX, Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF), who was found guilty of seven counts of fraud and sentenced to 25 years in prison, immediately requested through his lawyers for the presiding judge, Lewis Kaplan, to approve an order allowing SBF to remain at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn instead of a prison near his hometown in California.
