io.net and Aethir, as two leaders in the computational infrastructure field, have announced a groundbreaking partnership on April 22, 2024. The virtualization technology of io.net will be integrated with Aethir’s enterprise-level distributed GPU cloud, creating a powerful, low-latency, and cost-effective GPU-intensive workload solution. This partnership aims to enhance the capabilities and coverage of decentralized computing and GPU infrastructure, as well as GPU access and performance for artificial intelligence, machine learning, and gaming applications. The collaboration between Aethir and io.net aims to provide efficient, sustainable, and highly scalable solutions for the rapidly growing GPU computing demand worldwide by 2030, where the market is expected to quadruple in size.
io.net’s virtualization technology, orchestration technology, and networking layer are industry-leading, allowing AI/ML engineers and other developers to deploy Ray and Kubernetes clusters in real-time on a decentralized network with over 600,000 GPUs and CPUs. By extending io.net’s software layer to other partners, io.net is building a “DePIN of DePINs,” offering AI companies maximum selectivity, accessibility, and cost-effectiveness. Both entities are committed to expanding the real-time computing capabilities available to users and providing device owners with opportunities to earn rewards. This partnership marks an important milestone.
Aethir’s distributed cloud infrastructure aims to provide high-speed and highly scalable GPU cloud resources for enterprise customers from the AI, machine learning, and gaming industries. Aethir is leading the way in comprehensive enterprise-level and highly distributed GPU clouds, utilizing servers distributed globally to shorten the physical distance between GPUs and end users, reduce enterprise costs, and improve enterprise performance. With over 40,000 top-tier GPU networks (including 3,000 NVIDIA H100) and growing, Aethir is able to provide enterprise-level GPU computing where needed and deploy at scale.
Making GPU computing more accessible, affordable, and efficient
According to the terms of the partnership, both DePIN ecosystems will be integrated to provide customers with a seamless GPU computing experience, including clusters and serverless inference. By combining Aethir’s distributed cloud infrastructure and enterprise platform with io.net Cloud’s self-service, on-demand virtualization technology, customers will be able to successfully handle even the most GPU-intensive workloads. At this point, Aethir and io.net networks can aggregate computing power from hundreds of thousands of dispersed nodes worldwide, optimizing client experience with extremely low latency over a wide range.
The mutual integration means that io.net’s cluster solutions will also be available on Aethir’s enterprise platform, allowing businesses to have a wider range of GPU-based computing options and the greatest flexibility. This alliance accelerates Aethir’s mission to onboard millions of new AI projects, applications, and cloud gamers through its enterprise-grade DePIN ecosystem.
In addition to technical integration, the two companies will also collaborate on market and community marketing to drive the development of the overall ecosystem. A token swap agreement has also been reached, where Aethir will airdrop $50 million worth of ATH tokens to io.net community members, while io.net will airdrop $50 million worth of IO tokens to Aethir community members.
Ahmad Shadid, CEO of io.net, said, “The synergy between io.net and Aethir is evident and extensive, and we are excited to work together to provide users with the best cloud computing services.”
Daniel Wang, CEO of Aethir, added, “We look forward to bringing our enterprise-grade and large-scale GPU computing capabilities into the entire ecosystem. Making high-performance computing accessible to everyone is our shared mission. This collaboration is an important step towards achieving this goal globally.”
