“Buy Bitcoin” Held High at 2017 Hearing
This sign, which has become one of the classic memes in the crypto field, was created by Christian Langalis. At the time, he was only 22 years old and was an intern at the Cato Institute, a think tank in the United States.
In July 2017, Christian Langalis had the opportunity to attend a congressional hearing and managed to secure a seat behind Janet Yellen, who was then the Chair of the Federal Reserve. He quickly wrote the slogan on the sign, which was captured by TV cameras and went viral. However, he was promptly asked to leave the stage.

Christian Langalis, the owner of the sign, stated in an interview that he plans to use the proceeds from the auction to fund a Bitcoin software project.
