Michael Saylor, the founder of the American software company MicroStrategy, was indicted by the District of Columbia Attorney General in August 2022, alleging that he had not paid any income taxes despite residing in the district for over 10 years. MicroStrategy was also accused of conspiring to assist in tax evasion. According to CNBC, Michael Saylor and MicroStrategy have agreed to pay $40 million to settle this tax fraud lawsuit.
