Carole House, a former crypto consultant, has been rehired by the Biden team and will return to the White House as a consultant for internet security and critical infrastructure policy. The crypto community is widely optimistic about her return.
Carole House previously served as a consultant during the Biden administration in 2022, playing a significant role in the executive order “Ensuring Responsible Development of Digital Assets.” She will now return to the White House as a special consultant for the National Security Council.
In a statement on LinkedIn, Carole House expressed her honor, humility, and excitement about returning to the Biden administration as a special consultant for internet security and critical infrastructure policy at the National Security Council. She emphasized the essential nature of these tasks in shaping a future secure and trustworthy digital economy.
Carole House previously served as the chair of the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) under the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), which convened industry experts. In addition to various positions within the federal government, she also held executive positions at the crypto venture capital firm Terranet Ventures.
The crypto industry is optimistic about Carole House’s return. Dave Grimaldi, the Executive Vice President of the Blockchain Association, stated to DL News that she is a practical expert whose approach will benefit the Biden team. The community’s optimism about Carole House seems to stem from her understanding of the cryptocurrency industry and her reputation as a fair and just official. She previously pointed out at the Consensus summit that while there are many well-implemented economic cases internationally, there is still a need for stronger enforcement in the field so that compliant participants can be rewarded.
