In the summer of 2014, Ethereum held a presale where participants paid BTC to purchase ETH. At that time, the initial supply of ETH exceeded 72 million tokens, with 16.53% allocated to the founding members. As one of the co-founders of Ethereum, Vitalik also became a billionaire through ETH.
According to Arkham’s analysis chart, ETH accounts for 99.7% of Vitalik Buterin’s known crypto assets. Additionally, he has also invested in multiple crypto companies, such as StarkNet.

Arkham has also calculated Vitalik’s ETH holdings since 2015. While the amount of ETH he holds has been decreasing every year, Vitalik claims that he has not sold ETH for personal gain since 2018.
Based on statistics, Vitalik is the individual with the highest ETH holdings. Since December 31, 2015, his net assets have grown over 1,440 times.
Earlier this year, Vitalik shared some of his investment views. In addition to endorsing diversified investments, he provided the following financial advice:
– Save enough to cover several years of expenses. Financial stability equals freedom.
– Avoid excessive focus on investment portfolios.
– Never invest with leverage greater than two times.
However, judging from Vitalik’s own investment portfolio, he has not diversified his investments. Perhaps he has been steadfast in his own field, actively participating in the promotion of the Ethereum ecosystem, and holding an optimistic attitude towards the industry’s future. This has allowed him to create 1,440 times wealth growth, just like MicroStrategy’s founder Michael Saylor, who has held the role of a HODLer.
