According to the United Daily News, the Executive Yuan has designated the Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC) as the competent authority for Taiwan’s virtual currency businesses this year. The FSC has also included “Virtual Asset Service Providers and Trading Business” (VASP) as a new category for inspection in its 2024 Financial Inspection Focus.
