The Canadian mining company HIVE has previously been introduced by Chain News. In order to utilize its thermal energy more efficiently, HIVE is using heat recovery in Lachute, Canada to provide heating for a 200,000 square foot swimming pool manufacturing facility. Their Swedish plant is also developing a greenhouse that will convert energy from HIVE’s Boden facility to provide heating for a 90,000 square foot greenhouse, where tomatoes and cucumbers will be grown. This will bring local agricultural products to the northern part of Sweden, and it is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2024.
