The Indonesian government launched the world’s first cryptocurrency national exchange, CFX, in 2023. The government now requires all cryptocurrency exchanges operating within the country to register with the Commodity Future Exchange (CFX) and assist in monitoring asset liquidity and encrypted transaction records to aid in taxation.
